Our Internet pages contain the essential information about our work in 80 countries worldwide set out in the following pages; this data protection declaration applies to all these pages:

We assure you that your data will be treated in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and that we will take all necessary technical and organisational measures to comply with data protection. We will collect, process and store your personal data exclusively for the processing of inquiries and, if necessary, for the processing of orders/contracts, as well as for the administration of donations. Only if you have given your consent separately in advance will your data also be used for further, precisely defined purposes.

Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, wherever possible it will be done on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. We would like to point out however, that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection against access by third parties during the transmission of data via the Internet is therefore not possible.

There are exceptions to this where there are mandatory legal regulations are contrary (e.g. records storage obligations in (donation) accounting). Please use the following e-mail address to send us your objection: Kontakt@DMGint.de

Rights over my data: You have the right to have your personal data corrected, blocked or deleted.

Right of appeal: Anyone who believes that their rights have been infringed during the collection, processing or use of their personal data may contact the relevant data protection authority. It will investigate the complaint and inform the party concerned of the result.

Privacy policy

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration.

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, wherever possible this is done on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Extent of the processing of personal data

As DMG, we only process the personal data of our users insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website, contents and services. The processing of personal data of our users takes place normally only after consent of the user. An exception applies in those cases where, for genuine reasons, prior consent cannot be obtained and where processing of the data is permitted by law.

Legal basis for the processing of personal data

In the case of consent, Art. 6 para. 1a GDPR is the legal basis for the processing of personal data, and Art. 6 para. 1b GDPR is the legal basis in order to fulfil a contract. This also applies to processing that is necessary to carry out pre-contractual steps. In order to fulfil a legal obligation, if we should be subject to this, Art. 6 para. 1c GDPR serves as the legal basis. If the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, this shall be done in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1d GDPR. In the case of processing to safeguard a legitimate interest of our non-profit association, where the legitimate interest of the person concerned may not exceed the interest of the person responsible, Art. 6 para. 1f GDPR serves as the legal basis.

Data deletion and storage time

The personal data of the person concerned will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Furthermore, data may be stored if this has been stipulated by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws or other provisions to which the person responsible is subject. The data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract.

Donate for online purchase

Educational donors:
DMG uses Bildungsspender.de for fundraising on the Internet. For this reason, there are links in our pages which take you to "Bildungsspender" and from there you can purchase in many online shops; at the same time DMG receives financial support. We also use a free online donation form and a charity SMS service from "Bildungsspender". "Bildungsspender" is a charitable, non-profit organisation and, according to its own statements, attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. They treat it confidentially in compliance with current legislation and do not pass it on to third parties without your consent. Here is the privacy policy of education donors: www.bildungsspender.de/dmg/datenschutzerklaerung

Amazon Smile:
Similarly, DMG can be found in Amazon Smile. Our website contains links to Amazon Smile (www.smile.amazon.de). Those who buy there can support DMG financially on a small scale. In contrast to "Bildungsspender", Amazon is clearly a profit-oriented company that certainly collects information from people interested in goods, ordering and buying. Amazon uses cookies to track where site visitors come from. You can deactivate cookies via your browser settings. When shopping on the Amazon Smile website, you are responsible for the personal data you provide to the company outside the website for which DMG is responsible. You can find Amazon's privacy policy here: https://smile.amazon.de/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=smi_ge_ft_priv?ie=UTF8&nodeId=3312401

SSL encoding

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as a site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Right to information, deletion, blocking

You have the right to free information about your personal data stored with us, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing at any time and a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. If you have any questions about the use of your data or no longer agree, please contact us. The data will then no longer be used. We will comply with requests for deletion, blocking or modification at short notice, unless this is contrary to statutory or other mandatory provisions.

Please note that we are legally obliged to store your donor data (name, address, bank details, date and amount of donation) for a little over ten years. DMG collects and uses the personal data that you provide us with a donation. We use this information to process the donation, to issue you a donation confirmation, to answer your questions and, if necessary, to inform you about our work and current projects in writing or electronically, provided you have given us your consent.

If you have any questions about DMG handling of your personal data, please contact us at the address given below.
